I have version 1.0 of Password Keeper. On my Windows 10 desktop computer it runs great and suits my needs. Do you know what is new in version 1.2 besides different GUI?

You have a very old version of the application. The latest one is 7.2 not 1.2 and there have been a lot of changes since the release of the application.
After installation, go to Help > Contents. Expand the Program Information and click on the Release Notes. You'll have all the version history and the corresponding changes.
